Dedication

As mentioned in “About” this site is dedicated to my amazing girlfriends and sisterhood in which I travel in daily no matter where I am. Inspired by my mother, who adored her girlfriends, I was taught from a very young age how important and sacred the sisterhood is. She was right. My mother was surrounded by a community of incredible women straight up until she took her last breath. Enveloped with love, I stood in awe at her funeral at the energy these women had created for each other and the love they had for her.  They bitched, judged and complained but that was just a veneer. For they possessed a profound devotion and allegiance towards each other. They had each other’s backs. I have been the beneficiary of that same beautiful energy in this lifetime surrounded by women who are Mavens and Mavericks. Outspoken and beautiful they have demonstrated courage and perseverance as I’ve never seen. The love they have for their family and friends is stunning, the struggles they have had to overcome, humbling. Our demographic is extraordinary, and it is in the spirit of the beautiful, strong and healing female energy that “What Were You Thinking?” was created. Each of you plugged into your communities it is but one that connects us all. Join us for the ride, support, and love. I’m looking forward to sharing and hearing from you. Know that none of us are alone during these changing times. That there exists a community of women, who know what you’re going through. You’re still hip and cool despite the fact the shoulder pads, and pleated pants are now in a museum somewhere. I encourage you to share and join in on the cyber conversation. Remember you’re part of this club.  Whenever you witness something ridiculous stop, breathe and from your place of wisdom and experience quietly whisper to yourself “What Were You Thinking!”

I’m inspired by the love and dedication you have for your dreams and for your vision of bringing light and laughs into the hearts and lives of female boomers. Well done! Wonderful way to start the day, laughing all the way!

I am loving the content and have devoured each article with chuckles, head-nodding and acknowledgement that I too have ‘walked that walk’.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to see ourselves and our lives through a different lens; and for showing us that we really ARE mavericks! Keep writing beautiful lady! Your words inspire me! xo
